Itinerary: Colca Canyon Full Day
day 1
Tour al Cañón del Colca
03:00 – 03:30 We will pick you up from your hostel and depart on our private bus to the Colca Canyon. After 4 hours of a bus journey, we will go directly to the Condor’s Cross, only stopping in Chivay to have breakfast.
08:30 We will arrive to the Condor’s Cross where we will appreciate the impressive views of one of the deepest canyons in the world and see the majestic Andean Condor bird.
On the way back to Chivay, we will stop in the villages of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque, all small local villages which have colonial churches, tombs and Pre-Inca terraces.
12:00pm We will arrive to Chivay to visit the hot springs if you wish and then we will stop to have lunch at a local restaurant. On the way back to Arequipa, we will stop at Patapampa, an incredible viewpoint where you will see the Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca volcanoes side by side. You will also see Pampa Cañahuas where there are lamas, alpacas.
17:30 We will arrive back to Arequipa
Optional – from Chivay you can go to puno in touristic bus where you can appreciate the national reserve, views to volcanoes.

What is the best time to visit the Colca Canyon?
The dry season occurs from April to October, it is cold, temperatures drop, especially in the period from June to August, as well as strong winds but it does not rain at any time. According to statistics, the best time is the dry season, but in our mountains we have good tourism 12 months of the year.
