Sail through Lake Titicaca and discover the ancestral traditions of the communities that have made these waters their home for centuries.
The adventure on Lake Titicaca begins with pickup from your hotel in Puno and subsequent transfer to the port, where we will board a tourist boat to sail toward the iconic floating islands of the Uros. During the journey, we will enjoy panoramic views of the highest navigable lake in the world.
The Uros Islands, entirely built with totora, are home to communities that preserve an ancestral way of life. We will visit two of these islands to learn about their traditions, discover their construction process, and see how they maintain their floating homes while interacting with their inhabitants. Afterward, there will be free time to explore the islands and take photographs.
Next, the navigation will continue for about two and a half hours to the island of Taquile, known for its extraordinary textile tradition, declared Cultural Heritage. Upon arrival, we will take a pleasant walk along its paths, enjoying spectacular views of Lake Titicaca and getting to know the customs of the local community. You will also have time to visit the main square, browse its craft shops, and enjoy a typical lunch (not included).
