Itinerary
Discover what awaits you in the UROS, AMANTANI, AND TAQUILE ISLANDS TOUR – 2 DAYS
day 1
DAY 1: UROS FLOATING ISLANDS - AMANTANI ISLAND
The adventure on the Uros floating islands begins early, with pickup from your hotel in Puno and a drive to the port. We board a comfortable motorboat and set sail across the blue waters of the majestic Lake Titicaca, heading to the amazing Uros floating islands.
These islands, built entirely of totora reeds, are home to communities that have lived on the lake for generations. Upon our arrival at the Uros islands, our guide will immerse us in their ancestral traditions and customs and explain how each island is kept afloat artisanally by its inhabitants. We’ll have free time to explore, interact with residents, and capture unforgettable photographs.
We continue toward Amantani Island, where local families will warmly welcome us. A typical lunch awaits us, prepared with local products and served in an authentic and welcoming environment.
In the afternoon, we can participate in an optional hike to the top of the island, where the ceremonial temple of Pachatata is located. From this sacred place, the panoramic view of Lake Titicaca at sunset offers one of the most magical moments of the trip.
As night falls, the host families prepare a traditional cultural celebration (optional). We can wear typical costumes, dance to the rhythm of Andean music, and live a night that connects us with the roots of the altiplano.

DAY 2: TAQUILE ISLAND
After enjoying a traditional breakfast, we say goodbye to our host families and depart for Taquile Island, famous for the talent of its weavers, whose art has been recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
We’ll take a pleasant walk to the island’s central plaza, where vibrant hand-woven textiles, local craft shops, and the opportunity to discover the admirable daily life of its inhabitants await us.
After some free time, we descend to the island’s second port to board our return to Puno, arriving in the afternoon. Thus concludes an authentic, cultural, and profoundly inspiring journey through the Uros islands.
