Uros Islands
Islands woven from reeds in the middle of Titicaca.
We sail 30 minutes to the Uros floating islands to meet their families, their way of life and their crafts, returning to Puno the same morning.

Sailing on Lake Titicaca
By motorboat, approx. 30 minutes · Puno port → Uros Islands
We glide across the calm waters of Lake Titicaca, enjoying the scenery, until we reach the floating islands, woven entirely from totora reeds, the aquatic plant that rules the lake.

On one of the islands, local families welcome us and, together with our guide, explain how they build the islands, their homes and traditional boats, and how they keep their ancestral customs, community organization and harmony with nature alive.

Reed boat ride and crafts

After spending time with the islanders, we can take a ride on a totora reed boat (optional). Then we admire the colorful handmade crafts made by the islanders with techniques passed down through generations.

We return to Puno port and from there to our hotels, closing a morning full of living culture and unforgettable scenery.
