CHINCHERO TEXTILE TOUR, MARAS AND MORAY ITINERARY - HALF DAY
The Maras Moray and Chinchero Tour adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco, heading to the fascinating Urubamba Valley. From here, unforgettable panoramas of the imposing Chicón Snow-Capped Mountain and the vibrant Andean landscapes that frame the route await us.
The first stop takes us to Chinchero, the legendary textile town of the Andes. There, we’ll be part of a unique cultural experience: local families will reveal the secrets of Andean textiles, showing how they spin, dye, and weave wool with ancestral techniques that continue to thrive today.
Afterward, the path leads us to the mysterious Moray, whose circular terraces invite us to discover Inca agricultural ingenuity, an authentic laboratory of microclimates and crop experimentation.
To culminate, we’ll explore the incredible Maras Salt Mines, a unique landscape where more than 4,000 salt pools descend in white terraces down the mountainside. This natural treasure, which has been exploited since pre-Inca times, remains an emblem of artisanal salt production.
At the end of the tour, we’ll return to Cusco, carrying in our memories an unforgettable experience that interweaves culture, tradition, and history in this half-day tour of Chinchero, Maras, and Moray.
This Maras Moray and Chinchero Tour is perfect for those with limited time who still want to explore impressive landscapes and experience the living culture of Cusco up close.
