Recomendations
Try to sleep early the day before the visit (remember to get up early). Also, do not drink alcohol, as the symptoms of altitude sickness can be worse.
Do not go to the lagoon (or another tour that involves climbing a lot) if you have just arrived in Cusco, at least take two full days to adjust. It’s very important.
When to visit the Humantay lagoon?
Although it receives tourists all year round, the best time to go to the lagoon is the dry season, that is, from April to October. This is because during those months it is less likely to rain (access and walking are affected if it rains too much), and the landscape is clearer.
