Itinerary

Discover what awaits you in the Machu Picchu by train Vistadome 1 Day

Our Machu Picchu tour begins early with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and a transfer to Ollantaytambo or Poroy train station. There we’ll board the Vistadome train, a panoramic service that offers breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley of Cusco and the Urubamba River. The journey lasts approximately 3 hours until reaching Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), where our guide will be waiting.

In Aguas Calientes, we’ll take the bus to Machu Picchu (a 25-minute ascent) that will take us directly to the Machu Picchu Citadel, one of the seven wonders of the World. Here we’ll take a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through the main temples, terraces, and plazas, while discovering the history and mysticism of the Inca Empire. Subsequently, we’ll have free time to photograph or explore on our own.

After the visit, we’ll return to Machu Picchu town or Aguas Calientes, where we can enjoy lunch and, if time permits, visit the famous Machu Picchu hot springs, perfect for relaxing before taking the return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station, depending on your train ticket. Finally, transportation will take us back to Cusco.
