PALLAY PUNCHU MOUNTAIN TOUR ITINERARY – 1 DAY
The Pallay Punchu tour begins very early, with pickup from your hotel in Cusco, heading toward the town of Cusipata, where you cross Andean landscapes that gradually light up with the first rays of the sun. After a few hours of travel, we arrive in Cusipata, where a hot breakfast provides us with the energy to start the adventure.
After breakfast, we’ll continue the journey to the town of Marangani, the starting point of our hike. We’ll begin the trek to the majestic Pallay Punchu mountain, an ascent of around 40 minutes. During the route, we can enjoy unique natural landscapes, free from the city’s bustle, surrounded by mountains, fresh air, and Andean tranquility.
Upon reaching the summit, the reward is indescribable: before us stands Pallay Punchu, the sharp-colored mountain, with its natural stripes that seem hand-painted. Reddish, green, and ochre tones combine in geometric shapes that evoke an immense Andean weaving stretched across the mountain range. We’ll have time to breathe deeply, take photographs, and let the magic of the place envelop us.
After enjoying this natural spectacle, we begin the descent to Marangani. There, our transportation awaits to take us back to Cusipata, where we’ll share a comforting lunch while recalling the images that will remain etched in our memory. Finally, we’ll return to Cusco, arriving in the afternoon, thus concluding a day full of nature, adventure, and culture on this unique Pallay Punchu Tour.
Pallay Punchu is perfect for those seeking an authentic and less crowded experience than the Rainbow Mountain – Vinicunca, discovering a natural gem of southern Cusco.
