ITINERARY FOR THE PALOMINO ISLANDS TOUR AND SWIMMING WITH SEA LIONS
The tour to the Palomino Islands begins with pickup from your hotel in Lima and a drive to the historic Port of Callao, where history and the sea meet—the starting point of this experience. Upon arrival, we’ll board a ferry to the yacht, from which we’ll explore the Lima coastline from a fascinatingly different perspective.
The navigation begins by skirting the picturesque seaside resort of La Punta, a place full of charm and tradition that you can breathe in with every sea breeze. We’ll continue toward the mysterious “El Camotal” Island, a site laden with legends and historical tales that emerge from the waters. Further ahead, we’ll spot the imposing San Lorenzo Island, the largest along the Peruvian coast, known for its biodiversity and for housing the presidential beach house.
The journey continues alongside the historic El Frontón Island, famous for its former prison, until we reach the Cavinzas National Reserve. In this natural sanctuary, pelicans, boobies, and seagulls find their home.
The most anticipated moment approaches when we spot the majestic Palomino Islands, home to a vibrant colony of more than five thousand sea lions. Here we’ll witness a fascinating natural spectacle: hundreds of sea lions swimming and playing in their habitat.
You’ll have the unique opportunity to swim alongside sea lions —a magical, completely safe experience. We’ll have wetsuits, life jackets, and the company of a specialized guide, who will provide information and supervise the activity so we can live this marine adventure with absolute confidence.
After living this unforgettable experience, we’ll begin our return to the port, sailing through the waters of the Peruvian Pacific and enjoying the final panoramic views of the islands before disembarking.
