The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) aims to eradicate the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (CSEC) within the tourism sector.
The sexual exploitation of children and adolescents is a form of sexual violence and a serious violation of their rights. Unfortunately, in many cases, it is tolerated or socially accepted in some communities.
At Sakura Expedition, we fully support and comply with the CSEC Code of Conduct.
In accordance with the legal framework that criminalizes actions related to the sexual exploitation of minors in Peru, the following laws apply:
-
Law No. 29403 – General Tourism Law and its regulations, approved by Supreme Decree No. 003-2010-MINCETUR.
-
Law No. 30963 – Law that modifies the Penal Code regarding penalties for sexual exploitation crimes in their various forms and related offenses, with special protection for children, adolescents, and women.
-
Law No. 30802 – Law that sets conditions for the entry of children and adolescents into lodging establishments to ensure their protection and safety.
If you are aware of any case involving the sexual exploitation of individuals under 18 years of age, we urge you to report it immediately.
This agency does not promote or tolerate the sexual exploitation of children or adolescents, nor any other criminal activity. Should we become aware of such acts during the course of our operations, we will act in accordance with Law No. 29408.
Sincerely,
Sakura Expedition
