ITINERARY FOR THE GASTRONOMIC TOUR IN LIMA - HALF DAY
We begin this delicious half-day gastronomic adventure with a visit to a traditional Lima market, the vibrant soul of the city. Among colorful stalls, aromas, and colors, we’ll discover a wide variety of fresh ingredients, aromatic herbs, exotic fruits, and local products that bring Peruvian cuisine to life. We’ll have the opportunity to taste typical fruits, many of them exclusive to Peru, while discovering their stories and culinary secrets.
Next, a modern cooking studio awaits us, where an expert chef welcomes us. We’ll put on our aprons to dive into a practical and fun class, where we’ll learn to prepare the famous Peruvian ceviche, a national pride and symbol of local gastronomy. In this session, we’ll discover the origin of ceviche, the cultural value of each ingredient, and the ancestral techniques that give it its unmistakable flavor. Guided by the chef, we’ll create our own ceviche with fresh seafood and authentic seasonings.
Then comes the moment to prepare Peru’s signature drink: the Pisco Sour. The chef will share the history and interesting facts about this iconic cocktail, guiding us step by step in its preparation. Each participant will shake, mix, and bring to life their own Pisco Sour, enjoying the experience from the inside.
At the end, we’ll gather around the table to savor the ceviche and Pisco Sour we prepared, in a relaxed atmosphere that celebrates Peru’s culinary richness. It’s an experience that combines learning, culture, and flavor—ideal for those who want to discover Lima through its cuisine.
